Alastair B Ross
Alastair Ross is the lead for the Metabolomics Platform at AgResearch, a New Zealand research institute specialising in supporting the agricultural sector. After completing his Batchelor's degree in biochemistry in New Zealand, he completed a PhD at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala. He has worked for many years in both industry (Nestle, Switzerland) and academia (Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden), and has primary interests in biomarkers of food intake, metabolomics for understanding mechanisms of action in dietary interventions, and most recently the use of metabolomics to gain new perspectives on food composition. He has published over seventy peer reviewed publications and reviews and has an H-index of 25.
