Thermo Fisher Scientific Annual Users Meeting

See how our mass spectrometry solutions for HRAM Orbitrap™ systems coupled with powerful software can help you be selective and rise above the noise. From leading edge biological research to translational medicine, hear from renowned guest speakers.
For our annual Lorne user meeting workshop, the aim is to present technology, with workflows that improve throughput to simplify and answer complex biological questions. Our guest speakers are three eminent researchers in their field within ANZ.
Dr Ralph Schittenhelm from Monash University will be presenting a DIA phosphoproteomic study in response to inflammation and Dr Nicholas Scott from The University of Melbourne will present on protein-protein interactions across mouse tissues.
Closing the session will be an update on the newly released FAIMS Pro in routine plasma analysis.

Topics/ key words:
Proteomics, DIA, DDA, FAIMS, Ion Mobility, clinical trial, HF-X, plasma, Fusion Lumos, Host Pathogens Interactions , Immunology, Emerging Infections

Speakers:

  • Ralf Schittenhelm, Ph.D. (Director of Monash Biomedical Proteomics Facility, Melbourne)
“A DIA-based, Phosphoproteomic Study to Decipher Pathways Involved in MCP-1/ CCR2 Chemokine Signalling”
  • Nichollas Scott, Ph.D. (Lab Head, The Peter Doherty Institute, Melbourne)
“An atlas of protein-protein interactions across mouse tissues”

Food analysis has been expanded to incorporate all manner of post-genomic profiling, classification, nontargeted screening, and authentication of any of a variety of food, environmental, or agricultural products.
We will demonstrate workflows utilizing SCIEX high resolution mass spectrometric technology, novel data acquisition techniques, spectral libraries, and software tools to utilize nontargeted and statistical approaches to classify such samples as juices, herbs, and cannabis strains, and identify unknown constituents in complex matrices like citrus fruits extracts and even environmental water samples.

Speaker:

  • Katherine Hyland
